NFL Preview – Week 7

With a game of champions being played overseas, a rivalry matchup, and an awkward situation in Florida, there’s certainly a lot to watch for this week in the NFL!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears
Both of these teams have seen their fair share of victories and losses this year, with the Bears 3-3 for the season and coming off a big win against the Minnesota Vikings last week. Chicago also has a seemingly unstoppable defensive end; but that shouldn’t stop the Buccaneers. They too have had big victories lately, most notably against the New Orleans Saints, who they beat last week at a score of 26-20. To make a game against two teams that are possibly facing the playoffs just a little more exciting, it’s also going to be held at Wembley in the UK. Although it’s not the first time the NFL has played overseas, they’re hoping that it will boost the popularity of the sport overseas.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are looking for their third win in a row; but they’ll have to do it without their quarterback, Jason Campbell, who was taken out due to injury for the rest of the season during last week’s game. Now they’ll have to decide whether they give the start to backup, Kyle Boller, give David Garrard a shot, or bring in Kyle Orton to do the job. The Kansas City Chiefs are also down a player, with running back Jamaal Charles also being taken out of the season due to injury last week. The fact that these two are also a known rivalry is just the icing on the cake!
Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins
Awkward! Tim Tebow is getting his start and maybe that will help the flailing Denver Broncos this year. But that’s not what’s going to be weird about this Sunday’s game. The game will be held in Miami, at halftime there will be a ceremony honoring the team that won the Florida Gators the NCAA championship in 2009. Still not weird enough for you? Tim Tebow quarterbacked that team and led them to victory. So now do you cheer, even though he’s on the field playing opposite your team? We’re guessing that they will, and that the ceremony might make for the best thing to watch in this game against two bad teams.
