Laugh with Ron White
If you love comedy, chances are good you know the name Ron White. You might even know White’s nickname of “Tater Salad” too. White has always been a popular comedian, but his star power rose even further when he became a part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which also had a number of specials that aired on Comedy Central. This special tour lasted from January of 2000 to March of 2003. Some of the other comedians that were a part of this tour included Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, and Jeff Foxworthy.
He has appeared on a number of television shows and movies, including Blue Collar TV, Kath & Kim, and Reno 911. He’s also had small parts in movies such as Horrible Bosses. He has his own DVDs out, including Behavioral Problems and A Little Unprofessional, They Call Me “Tater Salad”, and You Can’t Fix Stupid. He received the Armed Forces Patriot Award, and the State of Texas even named April 27, 2009 Ron White Day.
The Texas native was born in the town of Fritch in 1956. He served in the U.S. Navy during the end of the Vietnam War, spent time living in Mexico, and then returned to the United States because he wanted to become a comedian. He says it is something he’d always wanted to do. Fortunately, for him, he’s very good at what he always wanted to do, and millions of fans around the world will agree. He has his own style, and that’s important for a comedian. He generally drinks scotch on stage and, depending on the venue, might even have a cigar going.
The latest tour is taking White all over the country, and that means there is a very good chance that he’s coming to a town near you. If you love laughing and you want to see his unique sense of humor up close and personal, it’s time you looked into buying some tickets. Head out to the show with some friends and have a great time laughing at this one of a kind comedian.
