NFL Preview: Week 6

With a toss-up in Houston, a make it or break it game for the Cowboys against a much tougher Ravens team, and a game of revenge in San Francisco, there’s a lot to talk about! With that said, let’s jump right in to the previews of the best games going on the NFL this week.

Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens
Tony Romo opened October with an embarrassing five interceptions when playing Chicago, and that’s only part of what’s led to the Cowboys’ demise. And while it looks as though this may be another missed season for Dallas, they do have the next few weeks to shape up and prove that are playoff contenders. Unfortunately, Baltimore only begins a difficult five-game road schedule against very tough teams. The burden really does lie on Romo, and he’ll need to figure out a way to get past this very tough Baltimore defense if he wants to give his team a chance.

Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers
It would be natural to think that this meeting with the Packers will end Houston’s undefeated streak; but the Packers have been shaky lately, and the fact that they’ve just lost linebacker Brian Cushing to a torn left knee ligament injury doesn’t help. Blame bad calls all you want, but it wasn’t them that died in front of the Colts last Sunday, when they blew their 18-point halftime lead. This one makes it doo or die time for the Packers as well; and a mighty nice notch to add to their belts if the Texans can take it.

New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers
This one is all about revenge for the 49ers, and that will make it the best game to watch this weekend! The Giants knocked the 49ers out of playoff contention last year, and that makes reason enough for San Fran to come out swinging. Had it been the same time last year, the Giants might look up to the fight. But things have changed. The 49ers are on track to be the team to take it all this year, and the Giants are severely lacking on defense. They’ll need to make some major adjustments if they want to prove that they’re still the better team.
