NFL Preview: Week 11

It’s divisional rivalry week in the NFL this week with the Bills facing Miami, Baltimore heading out to Pittsburgh, and the Redskins taking on the Eagles! Without wasting time, let’s look at the top storylines from each game.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
This rivalry is one that dates back to 1966, but both teams will have to focus on their own play this week if they hope to add another win to their season. Both of these teams have had horrible seasons; although last week the Bills gave New England a serious run for their money, while Miami gave up a terrible loss to Tennessee. However Miami has had a slightly better season, and the Bills’ running back, Fred Jackson is out with a concussion, which will be a much harder blow for the Bills to overcome.

Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins
The Redskins will be rested and ready in this highly anticipated matchup between the Eagles and the Redskins. But, part of the equation of that huge storyline has been taken out of it, as Michael Vick will most likely be out with a concussion. Nick Foles will take his place, and against RG3 it will be interesting to say the least. This rivalry may be one of the longest-standing, dating back to 1934, so Sunday’s game will be a good one either way; and most likely for the Redskins. Not only are they healthier, but they’ve got the best record between the two, at 79-70-5.

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
There’s a battle going on in the AFC North, and it’s only fitting that it’s between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Any game between these two mean a lot, and each have outstanding records to back them up. However, it might be who’s not on the field on Sunday that decides this game. For the Pittsburgh Steelers, that’s Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers have not beat the Ravens without Roethlisberger yet, but the home crowd will definitely help as they have a 4-0 record at Heinz Field this year. The Ravens’ defense has also been suffering the past few weeks, and that’s going to be a relief for Byron Leftwich, who will be filling in for Roethlisberger.
