NFL Preview – Week 10

The spotlight has been on college football this week, but there’s much happier action taking place this week in the NFL. Two struggling teams will meet up in Dallas while the Jets will look to overthrow Tom Brady on their home turf.

Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys
If you’re looking for a safe bet this week, you might just have it if you take the Dallas Cowboys against the Buffalo Bills. Despite a surprisingly good start to the season, the Bills have lost their last three games, and their quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to need to step it up a bit if he expects to beat the Cowboys. The Bills will also be without kicker Rian Lindell, who’s out with a shoulder injury, and which could affect their performance. Dallas though, hasn’t been without their share of problems this year. Romo is becoming famous for the mistakes he makes, despite being a great quarterback, and he’s just coming off that rib injury sustained a few weeks ago. Still, Dallas is at home, and that will help them take the win.

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons
These two teams are pretty much evenly-paced; but the same cannot be said for their offensive teams. The only way that Atlanta has any hope this game is to give the ball to their running back, Michael Turner, and have him hold onto it for as long as he can. This is the only chance for the Falcons to outscore the Saints, as New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. We don’t think New Orleans will be disappointed, and they’ll continue to have the edge over Atlanta after this game on Sunday.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets
There’s greatness as well as weakness on both sides of the ball in Sunday night’s game this week. New England undoubtedly has one of the strongest offense teams in the league, with Tom Brady leading the way. But Brady didn’t help the Pats against the other New York team last week, and with the tremendous pressure he’s under this week, many are wondering if he’ll be able to do it again. The quarterback for the Jets however, Mark Sanchez, isn’t also without his own demons, as he’s had 12 turnovers this season. Shonn Greene, who has an average of 84.6 yards per game may be the Jets’ best bet, as he can try to keep the ball from ever reaching Brady’s hands.
