Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 shots as the Columbus Blue Jackets took a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. Ryan Johansen and Fedor Tyutin each posted a goal and an assist, while R.J. Umberger and Derek MacKenzie scored for the Blue Jackets, who had lost three straight and eight of nine coming into the game. Erik Karlsson scored late in the game for the Senators, who had won four of five coming into the game. Craig Anderson gave up all four goals on 22 shots in the loss.

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – Alex Ovechkin scored twice while Braden Holtby made 46 stops as the Washington Capitals took a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday. John Carlson and Mikhail Grabovski each scored a goal while Nicklas Backstrom posted three assists for the Capitals, who have won three straight and seven of nine. Vladimir Sobotka scored the only goal of the game for the Blues, who had won five of six coming into the game. Jaroslav Halak was pulled less than 16 minutes into the game after allowing three goals on six shots. Brian Elliott stopped 13 shots the rest of the way.

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Ben Scrivens recorded a second consecutive shutout with 37 saves and the Los Angeles Kings edged the New York Rangers, 1-0, at Madison Square Garden. Scrivens has won all three of his starts since starting goaltender Jonathan Quick went down with a groin injury. Tyler Toffoli staked the backup to a lead 1:23 into the second period with a shot from the right point that deflected off the skate of Rangers defenseman Anton Stralman. It was the only blemish for an otherwise terrific night for Henrik Lundqvist, who made 29 saves and watched his offense waste five power-play opportunities.

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – Patrick Sharp had two goals with an assist, Corey Crawford made 23 saves and the Chicago Blackhawks shook off a recent poor outing to post a 5-1 win over the San Jose Sharks at United Center. Kris Versteeg, reacquired in a trade with Florida on Thursday, had a goal and an assist in his homecoming for the Blackhawks, who rebounded from a 7-2 loss Saturday at Nashville. Antti Niemi surrendered five goals on 27 shots for San Jose, which had won three in a row and concluded its five-game road trip with a 3-1-1 mark.
