Pittsburgh was swept by Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals last year, but got goals from Chris Kunitz and Brandon Sutter, along with 21 saves from Marc- Andre Fleury, to secure their second straight victory. Patrice Bergeron notched a goal and an assist, while Jarome Iginla lit the lamp late for the Bruins, who have lost seven straight regular- season meetings against the Penguins. Tuukka Rask allowed all three goals on 31 shots in defeat.

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – Jonathan Bernier stopped 41 shots as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Calgary Flames, 4-2, at Scotiabank Saddledome. Joffrey Lupul, James van Riemsdyk, Mason Raymond, and Paul Ranger all lit the lamp for Toronto. David Clarkson picked up his first point as a Maple Leaf on an assist as Toronto went on to win its third straight game. Matt Stajan and David Jones both scored for Calgary, while netminder Karri Ramo stopped 18-of-21 shots in defeat. The Flames have now lost three of their last four games.

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) – Tomas Tatar scored the game-winning goal late in the second period and the Detroit Red Wings earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday at Rogers Arena. Daniel Alfredsson scored Detroit’s other goal and Jimmy Howard made 19 saves for the Red Wings, who snapped a four-game losing skid. Daniel Sedin scored the lone Vancouver marker and Roberto Luongo allowed both goals on 27 shots for the Canucks, who had won four straight.

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Anze Kopitar scored on a power play in overtime to give the Los Angeles Kings a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night. The Kings tied it on Justin Williams’ power- play goal in the third period and handed the Sharks only their third loss of the season when Kopitar rifled a one-timer from the point with Justin Braun off for hooking. Drew Doughty and Jarret Stoll also scored for Los Angeles and Mike Richards had two assists. Jonathan Quick had 17 saves in the win and didn’t face a shot in overtime as the Kings pressured San Jose goaltender Antti Niemi. Los Angeles was coming off a loss at Phoenix Tuesday night — the team’s only road test in a nine-game stretch. Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture scored for the Sharks, who had won two in a row since their only regulation loss of the season last Thursday at Boston. Niemi had 19 saves. It was the first meeting between the teams since the Kings ousted the Sharks in the Western Conference semifinals last season.
