Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Antonio Spurs used a fourth quarter comeback and some late heroics to make Gregg Popovich’s 1,000th win a memorable one. Except the low-keyed Popovich remained his usual self postgame, treating the milestone just like any other victory. Marco Belinelli hit a go-ahead jumper with 2.1 seconds left and the Spurs edged the Indiana Pacers 95-93 on Monday night. Popovich, who became the ninth coach to reach the milestone, is the third fastest and the second to accomplish the feat with one team. Phil Jackson reached the mark in 1,423 games, Pat Riley in 1,434 and Popovich got there in 1,462.

Final Score: Golden State 89, Philadelphia 84

Former Sixers Andre Iguodala and Marreese Speights tallied 13 and 10 points, respectively, for Golden State, which has won five of six. Klay Thompson scored 13 points.

Evan Fournier came off the Orlando bench to score a game-high 18 points and Nikola Vucevic supplied 14 points and eight rebounds in the setback.

Final Score: Miami 109, New York 95

Mario Chalmers had 18 points, six assists and five rebounds while Norris Cole and Luol Deng scored 12 points apiece. Miami was without All-Star guard Dwyane Wade for the sixth straight game. New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – Gordon Hayward had 32 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Utah Jazz defeated the Anthony Davis-less New Orleans Pelicans 100-96 on Monday night. It was Hayward’s second straight 30-point game and seventh of the season. Derrick Favors posted 18 points and seven boards and Enes Kanter added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Jazz, who had dropped five of their last seven games coming in. After completing an alley-oop dunk, Davis’ hands slipped off the rim and he landed hard on his shoulder. Eric Gordon netted 31 points and Tyreke Evans provided 18 points, 10 helpers and seven boards for New Orleans, which has lost three of its last four contests.

Final Score: LA Clippers 115, Dallas 98

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – DeAndre Jordan’s monster effort on the glass helped the Clippers overcome the loss of Blake Griffin, at least for one game. Jordan posted 22 points and a career-high 27 rebounds to lead Los Angeles to a 115-98 rout of the Dallas Mavericks. Jordan has been a man among boys on LA’s annual “Grammy’s Road Trip.” The NBA’s leading rebounder collected his second 20-20 game over his last five, but the Clippers, who recently lost their All-Star Griffin to a staph infection in his right elbow, are just 1-4 during that five-game stretch. They will return home to host Houston in the final game before the All-Star break following a 3-5 road trip.
