New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – A night after Anthony Davis’ improbable buzzer-beating 3 lifted the Pelicans over the Oklahoma City Thunder, New Orleans was without its star for much of the Chicago Bulls’ 107-72 win on Saturday. Davis landed hard on his right shoulder when his hands slipped off the rim following an alley-oop dunk. He remained in the game for another minute before being subbed out late in the first half. He did not return, but was diagnosed with a contusion after X-rays came back negative. Without Davis to protect the rim, Pau Gasol flourished, scoring 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds after Davis’ departure and finishing with 20 points and 15 boards. Derrick Rose also scored 20 to help the Bulls end their three-game skid. Tony Snell scored 19 off the bench with five 3- pointers. Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – John Wall scored 17 points and dished out seven assists, and the Washington Wizards snapped a season-high five-game skid with a 114-77 rout of the Brooklyn Nets. Rasual Butler scored 15, and Kevin Seraphin added 13 with eight rebounds for the Wizards, who posted their first win since Jan. 27 at the Lakers. Washington, which had lost its previous three home contests, posted its first win at Verizon Center since Jan. 19 against Philadelphia. The Wizards also received 12 points from Otto Porter, 11 from Marcin Gortat and 10 from Nene. Kris Humphries chipped in with nine points and 11 rebounds. The Nets, who had won their last three games, were led by Brook Lopez’s 19 points and eight rebounds. Jarrett Jack scored 11, but the Nets shot just 33.8 percent from the field.

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Draymond Green posted 20 points and 13 rebounds to help the Golden State Warriors earn a bounce-back 106-92 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The Warriors put Friday’s 124-116 loss to Eastern Conference-leading Atlanta quickly behind by rolling for much of the night against a Knicks squad playing without Carmelo Anthony. Golden State led by as many as 26 points in the third quarter before New York briefly made it interesting with a 16-0 run in the fourth to pull within five. Stephen Curry added 22 points and Harrison Barnes tallied 12 in the victory. Klay Thompson finished with 16 points for Golden State but went just 5-of-22 from the field. With Anthony resting his troublesome knee in the second game of a back-to-back, Langston Galloway paced the Knicks with 15 points. Jason Smith totaled 14 points and 13 rebounds in New York’s third straight loss.

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Robert Covington scored a game-high 22 points and the Philadelphia 76ers’ defense shut down the Charlotte Hornets in the second half to earn an 89-81 win. Hollis Thompson scored 18 off the bench for Philadelphia, while Luc Mbah a Moute and Nerlens Noel scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Despite 18 points and nine rebounds from Al Jefferson, the Hornets had their three-game winning streak halted. Gerald Henderson chipped in with 17 points and nine assists, and Marvin Williams scored 13 off the bench.

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Dirk Nowitzki hit a game-tying 3 near the end of regulation and Chandler Parsons scored 10 points in overtime, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-101 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night. Nowitzki had 25 points, none more important that his straightaway 3 over two Blazers defenders with 21 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. After Portland’s Damian Lillard held for a 3-pointer he missed at the buzzer, Parsons opened overtime with two free throws to give the Mavericks their first lead since the second quarter and they never trailed again. Nowitzki added a jumper, Monta Ellis knocked down a 3 and Parsons scored on a layup to cap a 9-0 run that made it 105-96. Ellis finished with 20 points, Devin Harris scored 16 off the bench and Tyson Chandler added 11 points and 13 rebounds in Dallas’ fifth win in six games. Lillard scored 26 points and LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Blazers, who have lost seven in a row on the road. Wesley Matthews added 17 points for Portland.

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – Brandon Knight finished off a 26-point night by drilling a critical jumper with 6.7 seconds remaining in the Milwaukee Bucks’ 96-93 victory over the Boston Celtics. The Bucks led nearly the entire way in their sixth win in seven games, though they had to dig deep after Boston cut what was once a 14-point second-half deficit down to one in the final minute. Giannis Antetokounmpo amassed 14 points and 11 rebounds to help Milwaukee halt the Celtics’ season high-tying three-game win streak, with Khris Middleton adding 11 points and eight boards for the Bucks. Marcus Thornton netted 12 of his 14 points after halftime to lead Boston’s near-comeback, while Jared Sullinger had 17 points and Marcus Smart recorded 13 in defeat.

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) – Gordon Hayward scored 17 of his 30 points in the first half to help the Utah Jazz to a 102-90 win over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. Derrick Favors deposited 20 points with nine rebounds and five assists and Enes Kanter had 17 points with 13 rebounds for the Jazz, who snapped a three-game losing streak. DeMarcus Cousins finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds for Sacramento. Kings interim coach Tyrone Corbin returned to Utah for the first time since he was fired in the offseason after four seasons coaching the Jazz. The Kings have lost three straight.
