Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – Mike Conley scored 23 points and the Memphis Grizzlies nearly coughed up a huge fourth-quarter lead before holding on to best the Los Angeles Lakers, 107-102, at FedExForum. Memphis got a huge boost from its bench, which was ranked among the worst units in the league entering Tuesday’s game. Zach Randolph posted his sixth double-double in eight games with 11 points and 10 rebounds, getting there with a putback layup in the final seconds that sealed the victory. Marc Gasol did a little bit of everything, contributing eight points, nine assists and eight boards. Kobe Bryant found himself on the wrong side of history during the loss. Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Dirk Nowitzki entered the history books on Tuesday and helped his team complete a monumental comeback in the process. Nowitzki scored 23 points, passing Hakeem Olajuwon for ninth on the NBA’s all- time scoring list, and the Dallas Mavericks erased a 24-point deficit en route to a 106-98 win over the Sacramento Kings. In addition to moving up the scoring list, Nowitzki, who needed 17 points to pass Olajuwon (26,946), became the NBA’s all-time leader in scoring for a foreign born player. Chandler Parsons supplied 19 points and Monta Ellis scored all of his 14 points in the second half to fuel the comeback for Dallas, which has won 21 straight at home over the Kings. Rudy Gay paced Sacramento with 26 points, Ramon Sessions had 18 in place of Darren Collison and DeMarcus Cousins finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds in a second straight loss. Collison did not play due to shoulder stiffness.

Final Score: Portland 102, Charlotte 100

Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) – After Portland star Damian Lillard made a mental mistake with seconds remaining, Gary Neal thought he forced overtime with a driving layup past Lillard as time expired. But officials reviewed the play and ruled that the ball was still touching Neal’s right hand as the buzzer sounded, giving the Trail Blazers a 102-100 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte was the better team for most of the night against the banged-up Blazers, who were without swingman Nicolas Batum (knee contusion). The Blazers didn’t take their first lead of the game until Steve Blake’s 3-pointer at 3:04 of the fourth. Later, Blake missed a corner three with Portland up two and 17.9 seconds remaining. Had Charlotte secured the defensive board, it could have had a look to tie the game, but LaMarcus Aldridge stole the board and went right back up with it, finishing a difficult layup. Charlotte went for a quick two and Neal delivered with a layup over Lillard. Portland took a timeout to advance the ball and inbounded to Lillard, who went to the rim instead of holding the ball and waiting to get fouled. Cody Zeller defended Lillard’s layup perfectly, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist secured the rebound, giving the Hornets a look with 3.5 to play. They went right back to Neal, who easily beat Lillard off the dribble and rose to the rim, releasing his layup a split second too late. Lillard scored 29 points and Aldridge had 25 with 14 rebounds for Portland, winners in four of five.

Final Score: San Antonio 113, Golden State 100

In addition, Duncan became the 11th player in NBA history to record 14,000 rebounds. He is eight points shy of 25,000 for his career.
