St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota Wild goaltender Josh Harding faces a long road back from a flare-up of multiple sclerosis which sidelined him for a significant portion of last season.

On Wednesday, the club revealed that he’ll have to wait longer to get back into top shape, as Harding suffered a fractured right foot in an off-ice incident and will be lost indefinitely.

The 30-year-old Saskatchewan native and winner of the 2013 Masterton Trophy went 18-7-3 with a league-best .933 save percentage and a league-low 1.65 goals-against average. However, he was placed on injured reserve in late December and did not play again.

Ilya Bryzgalov, who arrived late in the regular season and backstopped Minnesota to a Game 7 road overtime victory in the first round against the Colorado Avalanche, was invited to training camp on a professional tryout contract.

Bryzgalov split last season with Edmonton and Minnesota, going 12-9-8 with a 2.68 GAA and four shutouts in 32 games — including a 7-1-3 mark, 2.12 GAA and three whitewashes in 12 appearances for the Wild.
