Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Bitter cold weather for Tuesday has forced the cancellation of race cards at Parx Racing and Charles Town.

Single digit temperatures are being forecast for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Parx, in suburban Philly, and Charles Town announced Monday that their respective Tuesday programs will not be conducted.

Parx Racing was able to hold its nine-race card on Monday even as the temperatures dropped throughout the day. The track’s next program will be Saturday.

Charles Town will resume racing Wednesday night.

Live racing was canceled Monday at Beulah Park in Ohio and Tuesday’s program has also been canceled due to weather conditions. The Columbus track is expected to race Wednesday.
