Hallandale Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Top Billing, rated first in Jeff Frank’s Kentucky Derby “Dirty Dozen,” worked out Monday morning at Payson Park for Saturday’s Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

The highly regarded 3-year-old went a half-mile in 50 2/5 seconds with trainer Shug McGaughey watching.

“He’s coming along – he’s getting more in tune with what we want him to do,” McGaughey said. “He used to work on a long rein, but now he gets more into it. I think we’re right on schedule. Everyone seemed to be pleased.”

Owned by breeders William S. Farish and E. J. Hudson Jr., Top Billing has two wins and a second in three starts for $56,835 and will be making his stakes debut on Saturday in the 1 1/16-mile race.

McGaughey goes after a second straight Fountain of Youth win after winning last year with eventual Florida and Kentucky Derbies champ Orb.
