San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Winston Shepard outscored St. Katherine’s starting unit by himself with 21 points in 20th-ranked San Diego State’s 118-35 rout of the local community college from Viejas Arena. Shepard shot 7- of-9 and contributed eight rebounds, five assists and five steals while Dwayne Polee II tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds in the triumph. Aqeel Quinn and Matt Shrigley deposited 14 and 12 points, respectively, as SDSU (10-1) heads into the new year having won nine straight. The Aztecs only blemish this season came against current No. 1 Arizona. Joshua White paced St. Katherine with nine points. The Firebirds shot just 15- of-68 from the field and an abysmal 3-of-38 from the arc.
