They will meet the winner of the South Carolina-Boise State matchup in the championship game on Christmas day. Melvin Ejim registered his 25th career double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Dustin Hogue scored 18 for the Cyclones. Reggie McAdams paced Akron (6-3) with 13 points and Quincy Diggs scored 12 off the bench for the Zips, who had a five-game win streak snapped.
