Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) – Shabazz Napier overcame a sluggish start and dropped 15 of his 20 points in the second half of No. 10 Connecticut’s 82-70 road triumph over Washington from Alaska Airlines Arena. Napier shot 9-of-10 from the free-throw line and grabbed a team-high six rebounds in the win. Ryan Boatright netted 16 points while Lasan Kromah came off the bench and provided a ton of energy en route to 14 points and five steals. Connecticut (10-1) was coming off its first loss of the season, a 53-51 heart- breaker to Stanford. C.J. Wilcox scored 19 points for Washington (6-5), which had its brief two- game winning streak come to an end. Wilcox, who surpassed 1,500 career points last time out, passed Louis Nelson and Steve Hawes for ninth place on UW’s all-time scoring list. Darin Johnson chipped in 13 points off the bench and Mike Anderson tallied 10 with seven rebounds.

Wichita, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Darius Carter scored a career-high 19 points to help the 11th-ranked Wichita State Shockers stay unbeaten with a 77-66 win over NC Central from Charles Koch Arena. Cleanthony Early totaled 16 points and 10 rebounds for Wichita State (12-0), which is off to its best start in school history. Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet netted 15 and 14 points, respectively, with VanVleet adding eight assists. The loss spoiled a career- best 37 points from NC Central senior Jeremy Ingram, who shot 7-of-13 from beyond the arc. Emanuel Chapman had nine assists in the setback for the Eagles (7-3).

Brady Heslip had 13 points while Cory Jefferson and Rico Gathers scored 12 points apiece for the Bears (10-1), who have won 10 straight at home. Gathers added eight rebounds and Kenny Chery contributed 10 points. Tre Lynch poured in a game-high 27 points for Southern (3-9), which has lost four of its last five.

Dustin Hogue had 17 points and nine rebounds, while Melvin Ejim added 14 points and 11 boards for the Cyclones (9-0), who will play the winner of the Oregon State/Akron game in the semifinals on Monday. Iowa State was one of 10 unbeaten Division I teams heading into Sunday. Patrick Holloway scored 19 points and Bryon Allen chipped in 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for George Mason (5-5), which has dropped three straight and five of its last six.

Iowa City, IA (SportsNetwork.com) – Jarrod Uthoff scored a team-high 16 points and No. 25 Iowa jumped out to a gigantic early lead and pasted Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 86-61, in the final non-conference game for the Hawkeyes. Josh Oglesby netted 13 points in his season debut and Adam Woodbury added 10 for Iowa (11-2), which connected on 61.7 percent of its shots and held the opposition to 32.4 percent shooting. Tevin Hammond had 19 points for road-weary Arkansas- Pine Bluff (2-9), which has dropped nine straight after winning its first two games of the season.
