Tucson, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – T.J. McConnell and Brandon Ashley both scored 13 points to lead the second-ranked Arizona Wildcats to a 63-58 win over the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. McConnell added seven rebounds, six assists and three steals for an Arizona team that could be the new No. 1 after top-ranked Michigan State lost to North Carolina on Wednesday. The Wildcats (9-0) have not sat atop the AP poll since March 10, 2003. Nick Johnson and Kaleb Tarczewski had 12 points apiece in the Wildcats’ 13th straight home win over a non-conference opponent. Bryce Dejean-Jones paced UNLV (3-4) with 16 points, while Khem Birch posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Syracuse, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – C.J. Fair dropped 19 points as fourth- ranked Syracuse routed Binghamton, 93-65, from Carrier Dome. Trevor Cooney made five 3-pointers en route to 17 points for Syracuse (9-0), which won its 48th straight non-conference home tilt. Jerami Grant tallied 14 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Orange, while DaJuan Coleman netted 13 points with 10 boards on 5-of-6 shooting. Jordan Reed led Binghamton (2-7) with a game-high 26 points in the setback. Marlon Beck and Nick Madray added 14 and 11 points, respectively, as the Bearcats lost for the fifth time in six games.

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – LaQuinton Ross scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the fifth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes to a 74-56 victory over the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils. Lenzelle Smith Jr. contributed 17 points and Amir Williams added 11 points for the undefeated Buckeyes (7-0), who will next face Bryant on Wednesday. Faronte Drakeford scored 12 and Matt Mobley contributed 10 points for Central Connecticut State (2-6), which will face Hartford on Tuesday.

Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – Askia Booker’s 3-pointer as time expired gave Colorado its first win over Kansas in 10 years, a 75-72 decision over the sixth-ranked Jayhawks at Coors Events Center. Booker finished with 15 points and Spencer Dinwiddie also had 15 along with seven assists for Colorado (9-1), which had dropped 19 straight meetings to its former Big 12 rival since a 60-59 victory in Boulder on Jan. 22, 2003. Josh Scott and Xavier Johnson both added 14 points in the triumph, the ninth in a row for the Buffaloes since a season-opening setback at Baylor. Kansas (6-2), playing its first true road test of the season, received 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from freshman sensation Andrew Wiggins, but committed 14 turnovers to be dealt a second setback in its last three games.

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) – Montrezl Harrell scored 20 points and Chris Jones added 19, leading seventh-ranked Louisville to a 113-74 rout of Louisiana at the KFC Yum! Center. Russ Smith chipped in 16 points and Wayne Blackshear netted 15 for Louisville (8-1), which has won three straight since a 93-84 loss to North Carolina on Nov. 24. The Cardinals, who had scored at least 90 points three times previously this season, last reached 100 in a 104-101 five-overtime loss to Notre Dame last February. Louisville set a KFC Yum! Center scoring mark and posted its highest scoring output since a 114-82 thumping of Western Kentucky on Dec. 22, 2010. The Cardinals shot 61.3 percent overall, dominating inside thanks to a 9-for-10 effort from Harrell, who also had a game-high eight rebounds. Shawn Long scored 25 points for Louisiana (6-3), which had won four in a row since an 87-68 loss to nationally ranked Baylor.

Wichita, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Cleathony Early scored 16 points and led an early second-half run that carried No. 11 Wichita State to a 71-58 win over Oral Roberts at Koch Arena. Chadrack Lufile added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Shockers (9-0), who trailed 30-22 at halftime prior to putting together a 17-4 surge over the first five-plus minutes of the second period. Darius Carter and Tekele Cotton contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively, to the victory. Shawn Glover paced Oral Roberts (5-4) with 22 points.

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – James Bell notched career-highs with 25 points and 14 rebounds and No. 14 Villanova defeated Saint Joseph’s 98-68 on Saturday at Hagan Arena. JayVaughn Pinkston led all scorers with 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, Darrun Hilliard had 14 points and Ryan Arcidiacono scored 11 for Villanova (9-0). Langston Galloway scored a team-high 18 points, DeAndre Bembry added 17 and Ronald Roberts had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Hawks (4-4), who trailed by only four at the half but were outscored 59-33 in the second half to lose their second straight game.

Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – Shaq Goodwin led the way with a career- high 21 points as the No. 16 Memphis Tigers defeated the Northwestern State Demons, 96-76, at FedExForum. Goodwin was 8-of-11 from the field and added six rebounds and three blocks. Joe Jackson contributed 18 points and Michael Dixon Jr. had 14 for the Tigers (6-1), who have won five straight. Jalan West scored a team-high 15 points and nine assists off the bench and DeQuan Hicks tallied 13 points for the Demons (3-4), who have dropped four of their last five.

Des Moines, IA (SportsNetwork.com) – Melvin Ejim and Georges Niang scored 22 points apiece to lead the 17th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones to a 91-82 overtime victory over Northern Iowa. DeAndre Kane scored 18 points with 11 rebounds, while Dustin Hogue added 17 points and 14 rebounds for Iowa State (7-0), which will host its rival Iowa on Friday. Nate Buss scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds, Wes Washpun added 18 points and Seth Tuttle contributed 14 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Panthers (3-5), who will host Savannah State Tuesday. Tuttle banked in a three pointer with 1.3 seconds left to tie the game 71-71 and take it to overtime.

Jordan Clarkson posted his fifth consecutive 20-point game, finishing with 21 in the Tigers’ (9-0) 24th straight victory at Mizzou Arena, the longest home winning streak in the nation. Earnest Ross scored 20 points on 5-of-11 3-point shooting for Missouri, which overcame an eight-point halftime deficit. Jordan Adams had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Bruins (8-1), who were off to their best start since beginning 14-0 in 2006-07.

Kevin Pangos had 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Gonzaga (8-1), which won its fourth straight. The Bulldogs will play the next three games away from home. Daniel Mullings paced the Aggies (7-4) with 17 points and five assists. Tshilidzi Nephawe went for 13 points and eight rebounds while K.C. Williams, one of six UMass players in double-figure scoring, also registered a personal-best 15 assists for the Minutemen (8-0), who are off to their best start since opening 26-0 in 1995-96. Sampson Carter also set a career high with 20 points, Raphiael Putney supplied 15 and Maxie Esho totaled 12 to go with six rebounds and two blocks. Tyler Haws led the Cougars (7-3) with 25 points, while Matt Carlino contributed 23 points and six assists.

Zak Irvin scored 14 and Mitch McGary contributed 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Wolverines (6-3), who had lost two of their previous three, including a 79-69 setback to Duke on Tuesday. Michigan has another stiff test in its next outing, as Arizona visits Ann Arbor next Saturday.
