Howell surged up the leaderboard on the final day with a 5-under 67 to join Uihlein at 23-under-par 265. Uihlein finished his final round at 3-under 69 and the two went on to a playoff.

Howell will be back this week as he attempts to defend his title. Also in the field are a number of big names, including four European Ryder Cup team members and their captain.

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy, the 2011 runner-up at this event, will look to continue his incredible season that includes two major championships along with a Ryder Cup victory.

Also joining McIlroy will be fellow European teammates Victor Dubuisson, U.S. Open champion Martin Kaymer and Stephen Gallacher. Kaymer won this event back in 2010, while Gallacher was the 2004 champion. European captain Paul McGinley will also be participating this week.

South Africans Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen will also be playing in this week’s tournament.

The Golf Channel will have coverage of all four days of this event.

The European Tour will head to Portugal next week for the Portugal Masters, where David Lynn earned a 1-shot victory over Justin Walters last year.

LPGA TOUR

REIGNWOOD LPGA CLASSIC, Reignwood Pine Valley Golf Club, Beijing, China – The LPGA Tour returns to Beijing, China this week for the Reignwood LPGA Classic.

Shanshan Feng fired a final-round, 5-under 68 on Sunday last year and she was able to hold off Stacy Lewis for her second victory on the LPGA Tour. Feng also won the CME Group Titleholders last year, but she has yet to earn a victory on tour this season.

Feng trailed Lewis by one shot heading into the 72nd hole of the tournament, but a huge eagle by Feng allowed her to emerge victorious as she ended at 26- under-par 266.

Both Feng and Lewis are in the field again this week as they look to create a buzz once again. Wegmans LPGA Championship winner Inbee Park, a five-time major champion, will also be in action this week.

Golf Channel will have overnight coverage of all four rounds.

The LPGA Tour remains in Asia next week for the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia, where Lexi Thompson ran away with a 4-shot victory over Feng last season.
