If you’ve never been to the NFL Draft, it’s an experience worth having. This year it’s again at Radio City Music Hall in New York, with round one scheduled for Thursday night at 8:00 p.m.

The future of the NFL can always pivot around the draft, with decisions, successes and errors having far-reaching impacts. This year’s draft will be particularly big for the teams in the top five: the Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions.

Of course, the excitement of draft day trades can never be ruled out. This year’s draft is made interesting by the fact that few experts see a quarterback going near the top.

That could mean more trading or less trading, and there’s always the chance that one team decides to go for it with Geno Smith, a quarterback from West Virginia. Most have him slotted as a late first round pick, but teams are often trigger happy with quarterbacks.

For now, though, the to prospects seem to be coming along the offensive and defensive line. Offensive tackles Luke Joeckel, from Texas A&M, and Eric Fisher, from Central Michigan, are rated as the top two tackles in the draft and have top-five worthy grades.

Defensive tackles Star Lotulelei and Sharrif Floyd are the top players in the draft at their position and are slated to go in the top six or seven. Ezekial Ansah is the number one defensive end, and should go in the top seven or so as well. He’s out of Brigham Young University.

That leaves two of the top five slots potentially open for outside linebacker Dion Jordan, an Oregon product, and cornerback Dee Milliner, an Alabama product.

There are a lot of potential scenarios for mock drafts and possible trades, and if your team is perched in the top five it could be all the more exciting. It’s a night when not only are franchise’s futures changed, but the dreams of young men are made realities as they final take the next step toward increased fame and riches. Get your tickets now and take part in the NFL Draft!
