Tennessee State hopes to build on 2013
Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – Tennessee State’s football program will divide six home games between two stadiums as part of its 12-game 2014 schedule.
The Tigers will play three times at LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans: against Edward Waters (Aug. 30) in the John Merritt Classic, Florida A&M (Sept. 27) on Homecoming Day and Ohio Valley Conference opponent Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 1).
In addition, the Tigers will play three times on campus at Hale Stadium, affectionately known as “The Hole”: against OVC opponents Tennessee Tech (Sept. 20), Jacksonville Stadium (Oct. 11) and UT Martin (Oct. 18).
Tennessee State, led by fifth-year coach Rod Reed, is coming off a 10-4 record and its first FCS playoff appearance since 1999.
