SE Louisiana to visit Tulane, host six in 2014
Hammond, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – Defending Southland Conference football champion Southeastern Louisiana will make a visit to Tulane and play six of its 12 games at home this year.
The Lions will open the season by hosting both Jacksonville (Aug. 30) and Southern Utah (Sept. 6) in non-conference action before making a Sept. 13 trip to Tulane.
Southeastern has never beaten an FBS opponent.
Coach Ron Roberts’ squad also will host four Southland opponents at Strawberry Stadium: Northwestern State (Oct. 4), Central Arkansas (Oct. 18), Houston Baptist (Nov. 8) and McNeese State (Nov. 15).
Southeastern reached the FCS quarterfinals and finished with an 11-3 record last season.
