Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) – Robert Griffin III’s return under center appears to be a near certainty for this weekend, as the Washington Redskins listed the star quarterback as probable for Sunday’s game against Minnesota.

Griffin hasn’t played since suffering a dislocated ankle in Week 2 against Jacksonville, but practiced fully and without incident for a third straight day on Friday. Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said on Thursday that Griffin would start against the Vikings if he came through the week without any setbacks.

In an interview posted on the Redskins’ official site Friday, Griffin said he is 100 percent physically and doesn’t plan altering his aggressive style in order to avoid further injuries.

“I’m ready to go, ready to play, get back out there with the guys and have fun. That’s what it is,” said Griffin in the interview. “God didn’t put us on this earth to be normal. So I’m not going to go out there and try to be a normal quarterback. I’m going to go out there and be the quarterback he’s called me to be.”

Washington had lost four straight games with Kirk Cousins leading the offense after Griffin went down, but has since won two straight with Colt McCoy at the controls. McCoy replaced an ineffective Cousins in the second half of the Redskins’ Week 7 matchup against Tennessee and rallied the team to a 19-17 decision, then led the way in an overtime road upset of Dallas on Monday.

The only Washington player whose status is in question for Sunday’s game is rookie cornerback Bashaud Breeland, who hurt his knee during Friday’s practice.
