Norman, OK (SportsNetwork.com) – Oklahoma freshman Samaje Perine rushed for 427 yards against Kansas on Saturday to break the single-game FBS record, which was just a week old.

Perine set the record on his final play, a 42-yard run 2 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter after slipping past a few tacklers ner the line.

Wisconsin junior Melvin Gordon rushed for 408 yards against Nebraska last week to break LaDainian Tomlinson’s 15-year-old record. Gordon played just three quarters in the game.
