Orioles’ Pearce exits with abdominal strain
Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – Baltimore Orioles first baseman Steve Pearce left Friday’s night’s game against Minnesota with a right abdominal strain.
Pearce made the last play in the top of the third inning, fielding a grounder and tossing to pitcher Miguel Gonzalez for the final out. But he was replaced in the field to start the fourth.
Pearce is batting .289 this season with a career-high 16 home runs.
