NFL Preview: Week 9

Two potential Hall of Famers will meet this week when the Steelers visit the New York Giants; meanwhile both Michael Vick and Andy Reid are most likely playing for their jobs this weekend. Atlanta on the other hand, is looking to hold on to their undefeated streak. And against a lacking Cowboys team, they most likely will. All of this is in store this week in the NFL!

Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants
This is going to be a great game to watch on Sunday afternoon. Two of the best and most storied teams in the NFL, and both have had great seasons this year. It’s been a bit better for the Giants, who have won their last five games straight, and they hold a slightly better record. But Eli Manning is going to be up against a crushing defense on Sunday, and that may be where the determining factor of this game lays.

Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
Michael Vick has looked horrible for the Eagles this year. He continues to get sacked constantly in every single game, and fumbles and other mistakes have marred his season so far this year. If he can’t pull something out for his team soon, he may be looking for a new one; and the same can be said for coach Andy Reid. After missing the playoffs last year, and losing three straight games so far this year, something’s going to have to change to convince the Eagles to keep their head coach. Luckily that chance may come on Sunday, as the Saints have been having one of their worst seasons of the franchise.

Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons
What can you say about this Sunday night game, really? It’s the only undefeated team left in the NFL this year, against a Cowboys team that has been one of the league’s worst for the last two years. Atlanta might be known for falling apart in the post-season, but we’re not there yet and in the meantime, they’re a ton of fun to watch and analyze. The same can be said for Dallas, too. But for very different reasons.
