Kyle Chipchura lit the lamp and Louis Domingue stopped 35-of-37 shots in his second NHL start for the Coyotes, who have lost 12 of their last 13 games. In the extra session, rookie defenseman Seth Jones kept the puck in at the blue line and fired the puck off a give-and-go with Cody Franson. Domingue made the initial save, but Neal wristed home the rebound for the win.

Wingels opened the final round with a backhander against Marc-Andre Fleury, then Steve Downie failed to solve Antti Niemi to end the contest. Matt Nieto tallied in regulation for the Sharks, who have won three of their last four. Niemi finished with 39 stops. Sidney Crosby provided the lone marker for the Penguins, who were denied a clean California sweep but still finished a four-game road trip at 2-1-1. Fleury halted 29 shots.
