St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – Marian Hossa scored two goals in the third period to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Sunday at Scottrade Center. Hossa broke a tie game on a power play with 8:41 remaining and added an empty-netter with 13.5 seconds left. Marcus Kruger and Bryan Bickell had the other goals for the Blackhawks, who have won two straight following back-to-back shutout losses. Corey Crawford made 25 saves, including a critical stop on Alexander Steen’s bid from the slot with 2:37 remaining in the game. Vladimir Tarasenko and David Backes scored second-period goals for St. Louis, which was coming off Friday’s 7-1 loss at Columbus that ended its impressive 12-0-1 stretch. Brian Elliott allowed three goals on 27 shots.

Sunrise, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Filip Forsberg scored the decisive shootout goal after tying the game late in regulation, capping Nashville’s 3-2 comeback victory over Florida. Seth Jones also scored in the third period for Nashville, which got 34 saves from backup Carter Hutton. Tomas Fleischmann and Aaron Ekblad had second-period goals for the Panthers. Roberto Luongo stopped 23 shots in defeat.

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – Wayne Simmonds scored the winning goal early in the third period as the Philadelphia Flyers picked up a 3-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Sunday. Mark Streit and Jakub Voracek also had goals for the Flyers, who have won five of their last six games. Steve Mason started the game in net and made eight saves, but left with 8:42 to play in the second with a lower-body injury. Ray Emery stopped five shots in relief. Alex Ovechkin scored his 33rd goal of the season for the Capitals, who had a three-game winning streak snapped. Braden Holtby allowed two goals on 24 shots in the loss.

Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Mikhail Grabovski had the eventual winning goal to lead the New York Islanders in a 3-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. Anders Lee and Colin McDonald also scored for the Islanders, who had lost four of five coming in. Jaroslav Halak made eight saves in the win. Marcus Foligno and Drew Stafford scored for the Sabres, who had won two of three coming in. Michal Neuvirth allowed all three goals on 31 shots. It was the second time this season the Sabres were held to a franchise-record 10 shots, as the team was also held to 10 by Toronto on Oct. 28.

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Tampa Bay Lightning scored three first- period goals and held on to beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on Sunday. Brian Boyle scored twice to lead Tampa Bay to its 11th win in its last 12 home games. Valtteri Filppula had a goal and two assists, Ryan Callahan had a goal and an assist, and Steven Stamkos tallied two assists. Nikita Kucherov scored his 20th goal as well. Ben Bishop made 25 saves on 28 shots to rebound from Saturday’s loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Frederik Andersen allowed all five Lightning goals on 22 shots, and he was forced to leave the game in the third period when the net tipped over on him. The Ducks fell to 1-1-1 on their ongoing five-game road trip. Ryan Getzlaf was credited with his 200th NHL goal, and Sami Vatanen and Eric Brewer also scored for Anaheim.

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Ales Hemsky scored the game-winning goal 1:02 into overtime to lift the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday. Jason Spezza tallied a goal and an assist and Erik Cole also lit the lamp for the Stars, who bounced back from a 3-2 loss to Buffalo on Saturday and ended a three-game skid. Kari Lehtonen made 34 saves in the win. Chris Kreider forced overtime with a late marker, Carl Hagelin also provided a goal and Cam Talbot stopped 23 shots in the Rangers’ second straight loss.

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – Dustin Byfuglien and Mathieu Perreault each posted a goal and two assists to lead the Winnipeg Jets in a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. Bryan Little had a goal and an assist while Jacob Trouba and Ben Chiarot also scored for the Jets, who snapped a six-game losing streak. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 25 shots in the win. Alex Tanguay and Matt Duchene each had a goal and an assist and Tyson Barrie also scored for the Avalanche, who have lost their past three. Semyon Varlamov allowed all five goals on 29 shots.

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – Dale Weise and Max Pacioretty each had a goal and an assist as the Montreal Canadiens completed a four-game season sweep of the Boston Bruins with a 3-1 victory on Sunday. Andrei Markov also scored and Carey Price made 34 saves for the Canadiens, who were coming off a 6-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday. Tuukka Rask stopped 31-of-33 shots and David Pastrnak supplied the lone goal for Boston, which has not won a regular season home game against Montreal since Jan. 12, 2012.
