Moulson, the Sabres’ first shooter, patiently skated up the slot and wristed a shot over Robin Lehner’s shoulder. Buffalo netminder Jhonas Enroth was a wall, stopping Ottawa’s first two shooters and the skills competition ended as Bobby Ryan rang a shot off the goalpost. Marcus Foligno and Brian Flynn each had a goal and an assist, while Rasmus Ristolainen and Moulson also lit the lamp for the Sabres, who won their fourth straight game. Enroth made 29 saves in the win. Curtis Lazar scored his first NHL goal, Alex Chiasson tallied a goal and a helper and Mark Stone and Ryan each had goal for the Senators, who were coming off a 3-2 shootout win over Boston on Saturday. Lehner stopped 29 pucks in defeat.

Uniondale, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Josh Bailey scored the winner in the shootout as the New York Islanders grabbed a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday. In the fifth round, Bailey was able to sneak a low shot between the pads of Keith Kinkiad, and Jacob Josefson missed the net on New Jersey’s last chance. Bailey and Matt Martin each had a goal, while Jaroslav Halak stopped 26 shots for the Islanders, who have won their past two. Marek Zidlicky and Scott Gomez each had a goal and an assist for the Devils, who have dropped their past four games. Kinkaid stopped 31 shots in the loss.

Final Score: Pittsburgh 4, Tampa Bay 2

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – No Sidney Crosby, no problem. While their captain sits as a result of an outbreak of mumps which has beset multiple NHL teams, the Pittsburgh Penguins kept rolling with a 4-2 victory over Tampa Bay at CONSOL Energy Center thanks to 28 saves by Marc-Andre Fleury and goals from four different players. Brandon Sutter, Bryan Rust, Steve Downie and Brian Dumoulin tallied for the Penguins, who won for the fifth time in their last eight (5-1-2). Jonathan Drouin and Nikita Kucherov scored once each for the Lightning, who have lost four of their last five. Ben Bishop allowed a goal on five shots in the first period before exiting with a lower-body injury. Evgeni Nabokov finished the contest with 18 stops in defeat.
