The rivals met for the first time this season after the original game date was postponed back on Oct. 22 when Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was tragically shot and killed while standing guard at the National War Memorial on Parliament Hill. Peter Holland scored a goal with an assist, while James van Riemsdyk, Josh Leivo and David Clarkson each lit the lamp for Toronto, which has won two straight on the heels of a two-game skid. James Reimer made 37 saves in the win. Mike Hoffman, Kule Turris and Mark Stone supplied Ottawa with a goal apiece, and Robin Lehner was saddled with the loss after saving only 25-of-30 shots.

Jonathan Toews finished with a goal and an assist, Trevor van Riemsdyk scored his first career goal and Brent Seabrook and Bryan Bickell also lit the lamp for the Blackhawks, who snapped a three- game home skid. Corey Crawford turned aside 32 shots in the win. Joe Pavelski supplied both of San Jose’s goals, Joe Thornton tallied two assists and Antti Niemi allowed four goals on 36 shots in defeat.

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Nick Bonino scored the lone goal of the shootout to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. Bonino, who was acquired by the Canucks from the Ducks in the offseason for prized forward Ryan Kesler, moved the puck from his forehand to his backhand before slipping the puck through the pads of Frederik Andersen. Kesler, the third and final shooter for Anaheim, rang a shot off the post to seal the outcome. Alexandre Burrows scored a goal in regulation, while Eddie Lack made 28 saves and stopped all three Ducks in the shootout for Vancouver, which snapped a six-game losing streak to the Ducks. Andersen made 34 stops and Sami Vatanen netted the lone goal in Anaheim’s third straight defeat. The Ducks were without a major part of their offense as forward Corey Perry was placed on injured reserve on Sunday due to the flu. Perry is tied with Rangers forward Rick Nash for league-lead in goals with 11.
