Washington won the opener 106-82 at home on Saturday to snap a seven-game losing streak in the series. Wall had nine of his points in a big fourth quarter when the Wizards outscored the Pistons 28-12. Bradley Beal added 13 points as the Wizards won for the fifth time in six games. Greg Monroe had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pistons, who have lost five of their last six overall and four in a row at home. Brandon Jennings added 15 points and 14 assists and rookie Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored a career-high 17 — all in the first half.

Augustin added 10 points off the bench for Chicago, which has won three of four, and Joakim Noah scored eight with 10 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki finished with 16 points, while Brandan Wright scored 14 points off the bench for Dallas, winners in two straight. Kevin Love dumped in a game-high 36 points with 11 rebounds, his seventh straight double-double and league-leading 28th overall. Kevin Martin contributed 19 points, while Nikola Pekovic also added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Anthony Davis had 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Evans added 20 points in the triumph. Damian Lillard finished with 29 points and Aldridge registered 28 points and eight boards for the Blazers, who have dropped two straight.

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – LeBron James celebrated his 29th birthday with 26 points and 10 assists to lead the Miami Heat to a 97-94 win over the Denver Nuggets from Pepsi Center. Chris Bosh scored 17 points on the heels of his Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor, while Ray Allen added 13 points off the bench in the win, Miami’s eighth victory in its last nine tilts. Dwyane Wade netted 12 points, but left early in the third quarter with back spasms and did not return. Ty Lawson matched James with 26 points and added seven assists for Denver, which is in the midst of a season-high seven-game losing streak. Wilson Chandler and Darrell Arthur each chipped in with 13 points, while JJ Hickson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Goran Dragic provided 26 points, eight assists and five steals while Gerald Green made five of the Suns’ 12 3-pointers en route to a 21-point effort. Phoenix had five players score in double figures — with P.J. Tucker and Channing Frye each donating 12 — and essentially led wire-to-wire in its 10th win in its last 12 games. Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford scored 15 points apiece and Chris Paul had 11 with seven assists, but the triumvirate combined to shoot 14-of-42 (33.3 percent) from the floor in the setback.
