Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) – Al Horford led six Hawks in double figures with 19 points while grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds as Atlanta topped the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-100, on Monday. Paul Millsap tallied 18 points, nine boards and four steals as Atlanta knotted the season series with LA at a game apiece. The Lakers took down the Hawks, 105-103, on Nov. 5 in the first meeting. Dwyane Wade added 27 points and Chris Bosh poured in 20 points for the Heat, winners in four of their last five games. Alec Burks scored a game-high 31 points to go with seven assists and four steals and Derrick Favors finished with 17 points and seven boards for the Jazz, losers in six of their last eight.

Beal netted 14 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, including a go-ahead layup with 5.9 seconds left as the Wizards topped the New York Knicks 102-101 on Monday night. With the seconds ticking down, Beal received the ball along the left wing with Beno Udrih on him. Beal quickly drove past him with the left-handed dribble before finishing with an easy layup. Opting not to take a timeout after the Beal bucket, Carmelo Anthony received the ball, but his running 3-pointer over two Washington defenders from the right wing ricocheted off the backboard. Beal had missed his previous nine tilts with a leg injury. Martell Webster was 6- of-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 30 points for Washington, which snapped its four-game losing skid. John Wall tallied 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds in the triumph. Anthony had 32 points, five rebounds and four blocks for the Knicks, who have dropped five of their last seven tilts. J.R. Smith chipped in 18 points in defeat.
