Mutuel field and Cairo Prince favored in Derby Future Wager

Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) – The mutuel field and Holy Bull Stakes winner Cairo Prince are the top choices in the second Kentucky Derby Future Wager for the 140th Run for the Roses on May 3.

The second of four Future Wagers opens Thursday at noon (ET) and closes Saturday at 6 p.m. prior to the running of the Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita. As in previous pools, there were 24 betting interests, 23 individual horses and the mutuel field of “All Others.”

“All Others” opens as the 7-5 morning-line favorite with Cairo Prince at 8-1. At the close of the first Future Wager in November, the mutuel field was the 4-5 top pick and Cairo Prince at 26-1.

The remaining pools will be held Thursday, Feb. 27-Saturday, March 1 and Thursday, March 27-Saturday, March 29.
