Hallandale Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Highly regarded 3-year-old Honor Code will make his season debut Wednesday at Gulfstream Park in a $75,000 open allowance at 1 1/16 miles.

Trained by Shug McGaughey, Honor Code has not raced since winning the Remsen Stakes last Nov. 30 at Aqueduct. He will face four rivals and is the 3-5 morning line favorite for the race.

“I’m just looking for him to run a decent race,” McGaughey said. “I’d like him to win, but if he doesn’t, we’d like to see something to push on with.”

Owned by Lane’s End Racing and Dell Ridge Farm, Honor Code will start from post 4 on Wednesday with Javier Castellano again in the saddle. Castellano was aboard the horse when finishing second in last year’s Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park along with the Remsen.
