Highest-Grossing Concert Tours of the Week 8/5
Rolling Stones tickets haven’t come down in price lately, and maybe that’s the reason for where they sit on this week’s charts of highest-grossing concert tours. And while Iron Maiden topped the list last week, they’ve been booted but another great rock band has made an appearance instead.
Total Gross: $1,209,646
Average ticket price: $54.43
Dave Matthews makes the list this week, and perhaps it’s because they’re so known for connecting and relating audiences. Last month in fact, they hitchhiked to the show with fans going the same way!
4.) Fleetwood Mac
Total Gross: $1,367,517
Average ticket price: $107.85
Everyone knew their reunion tour was going to be huge, and that’s the reason for Fleetwood Mac appearing on the list for several weeks in a row. However you decide to “Go Your Own Way,” make sure it’s to get tickets to see them while you still can!
3.) Kenny Chesney
Total Gross: $2,157,820
Average ticket price: $74.97
Kenny Chesney has been out all summer long bringing island life to the masses, and going to one of his shows really is like a small vacation. The only thing better than his current “Life on a Rock” album might be this tour that’s supporting it!
2.) Taylor Swift
Total Gross: $3,092,783
Average ticket price: $86.73
Taylor has been busy painting cities “Red” throughout North America since May, and she’s appeared at the top of this list just about ever since. This week she does fall from the top spot, but lands softly in second place.
Total Gross: $7,969,276
Average ticket price: $346.09
If there’s anyone that can knock Taylor from top place, you know it’s got to be a band as iconic as The Stones. And in fact, Taylor performed with them on their tour last month. This week they didn’t just take her spot though, they dominated it, more than doubling Taylor’s gross.
