Gold wins women’s short program
Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – Gracie Gold won the women’s short program Thursday at the U.S. figure skating championships.
The 18-year-old Gold finished with 72.12 points.
Polina Edmunds, the reigning U.S. junior champion, took second with 66.75 points. Mirai Nagasu (65.44), two-time defending U.S. champion Ashley Wagner (64.71) and Ashley Cain (61.45) completed the top five.
The women’s free skate is Saturday.
