Dallas Seavey wins second straight Iditarod title
Nome, AK (SportsNetwork.com) – Dallas Seavey won the Iditarod sled dog race for the second straight year.
Seavey crossed the finish line Wednesday morning in Nome in a time of 8 days, 18 hours, 13 minutes and 6 seconds to win for the third time in four years. He became the youngest winner three years ago at age 25.
The family has now won the last four Iditarod races. Dallas’ father, Mitch, won it for the second time in 2013 after first capturing the title in 2004.
Mitch Seavey finished second, more than four hours behind his son.
