Glendale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – Phoenix Coyotes captain Shane Doan is being treated for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever symptoms.

The veteran forward last played Dec. 4 because of RMSF, which is a tick-borne bacterial disease that affects the cells in the lining of blood vessels.

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said Friday that Doan is taking medication and considered week-to-week.

The 37-year-old Doan leads the club with 12 goals this season.
