Colorado’s MacIntyre fined for berating officials
San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Colorado head football coach Mike MacIntyre was reprimanded by the Pac-12 Conference and fined $10,000 for inappropriate conduct toward officials.
MacIntyre chased down the officiating crew as it left the field following Saturday’s game against Oregon State and voiced his displeasure with their efforts before security intervened.
“The public postgame conduct by Colorado head football coach Mike MacIntyre was completely unacceptable,” said Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott in a statement Tuesday. “Such misconduct violates conference policy and this behavior will not be tolerated.
“The conference assigns a high priority for administrators, coaches and student-athletes to support its officiating program. Chasing and confronting an official or officiating crew after the contest fails to meet these high standards.”
The Buffaloes dropped a 36-31 decision to the Beavers.
