Bryant football to host six in 2014
Smithfield, RI (SportsNetwork.com) – Bryant University’s football team will kick off its 2014 season with a visit to Stony Brook and play six home games as part of an 11-game schedule announced on Tuesday.
Coach Marty Fine’s squad, coming off a 5-7 season, will play Stony Brook in an Aug. 28 opener.
Bryant will return to Bulldog Stadium to host Merrimack in its home opener on Sept. 6.
The Bulldogs also will host Maine (Sept. 13, Homecoming) and Bucknell (Oct. 4) in non-conference action, and Northeast Conference members Robert Morris (Oct. 25), Central Connecticut State (Nov. 1) and Wagner (Nov. 22)
The Bulldogs, who are seeking their first NEC title, also will head to the road to face Liberty (Sept. 20) and NEC opponents Saint Francis (Oct. 18), Duquesne (Nov. 8) and Sacred Heart (Nov. 15).
