Arkansas-Pine Bluff sets 2014 schedule

Pine Bluff, AR (SportsNetwork.com) – Arkansas-Pine Bluff football will try to rebound from a disappointing season during an 11-game 2014 schedule announced Wednesday.

The Golden Lions finished 2-9 last year after winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference title in 2012.

Coach Monte Coleman’s squad will open its season at Texas State on Aug. 30.

UAPB’s schedule includes five home games at Golden Lions Stadium. Concordia (Ala.) will visit for a non-conference game on Sept. 6, and the Golden Lions also will host SWAC opponents Jackson State (Sept. 27), Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 1), Prairie View A&M (Nov. 8, Homecoming) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 22).
