Indiana netted the first four points of the second half to pull even at 33-33, but Syracuse held the Hoosiers without a field goal over the next 12-plus minutes to build a 20-point advantage. Freshman Tyler Ennis stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, eight assists seven rebounds, and four steals, while C.J. Fair added 15 points and four boards for the Orange (8-0), who have won 47 straight non-conference home games and 38 in a row against unranked teams at Carrier Dome. Caris LeVert equaled a career-best with 24 points for Michigan (5-3), which also received 15 points and 14 rebounds from Mitch McGary.

Ypsilanti, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – Raphiael Putney had 15 points to lead five Massachusetts scorers in double figures and the No. 21 Minutemen beat Eastern Michigan 69-57 on Tuesday in their first game as a ranked team in 15 years. Trey Davis added 13 points and Chaz Williams and Cady Lalanne scored 12 apiece for UMass (7-0), which is off to its best start since going 7-0 in 2010-11. Derrick Gordon chipped in 10 points for the Minutemen, who had been idle since beating Clemson on Nov. 24 to win the Charleston Classic. They were ranked No. 24 last week — their first appearance in the Associated Press Top 25 since the week of Nov. 17-23, 1998. They climbed three spots to No. 21 this week. Tuesday marked UMass’ first true road game this season and its ninth straight non-conference road win, though it had to pull away late in a close game to beat the Eagles. Roy Devyn Marble and Jarrod Uthoff each netted 17 points while Mike Gesell and Zach McCabe added 10 apiece for Iowa (8-1), which made its way into the Top-25 this week following a successful run in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Garrick Sherman poured in 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Irish (5-2), who were playing their first meaningful game as a member of their new conference. Eric Atkins checked in with 23 points and Jerian Grant finished with 13 points and 10 assists in the setback.
