Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran Kick Off Tour as Rumors Fly

This much we know: Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are performing two shows in two nights in Omaha later this month to kick off their tour, when they rock the CenturyLink Center Omaha on March 13th and 14th.

The questions that linger: Are Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran dating? Did they break up? Were they just friends all along?

That depends upon who you believe. E! News citied an anonymous witness on February 19th, who said that Sheeran spent some time in Swift’s hotel room the night before the 2013 Brit Awards. E! News also cites a source that the two “briefly dated last spring.”

But now rumors are swirling that Sheeran is getting back with his ex-girlfriend Camilla Severi, of Big Brother fame. This after The Sun reported that Sheeran spent the evening at a hotel bar with Severi and his crew.

Ed Sheeran, meanwhile, has denied any romance is brewing between he and Swift.

Will the duo’s performances be impacted by the potential sparks between them, or the possibility of a quick end to the budding romance?

Swift and Sheeran will hit 45 cities on the tour that runs from March through September, starting in Omaha and ending with three shows in Nashville, Tennessee. They’ll stop for three days in Newark, NJ, on March 27th, 28th and 29th. There are also two night stops in Orlando and Atlanta in April and Washington and Glendale in May. They’ll perform twice in two nights in Kansas City and four times in Los Angeles on August 19th, 20th, 23rd and 24th. In early September, they’ll do back-to-back nights in St. Paul, MN.

Sheeran makes a lot of sense as an accompanying act for Swift, as he’s featured on “Everything Has Changed,” which has been in the top 100 on various music charts. Sheeran is a big draw in his own right after winning the 2013 Grammy for Song of the Year with “The A Team.”

Swift, as usual, has been taking home her fair share of awards including the 2013 Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Safe & Sound.”

Swift also won Favorite Country Female Artist at the 2012 American Music Awards and the Billboard Woman of the Year Award.
