NFL Preview – Week 9

New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills
The Bills had a most surprising start to the season, being undefeated for their first four games. But they’ve been on a downward slope ever since; and they’ll need to step up their defensive game, which is one of the worst in the league. The Jets on the other hand, have had a reverse season with a horrible start and showing vast improvement over the past couple of weeks, after finally figuring out that they need to run the ball instead of relying so heavily on passing. Even though the Bills have won their past four at home, this is likely the game that’s going to put an end to that streak.

Chicago Bears vs. Philadelphia Eagles
This one may seem evenly matched, with both teams coming off two big wins over the past two weeks. But Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy are an unstoppable duo, as they proved last weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. But Matt Forte is just as good a running back as McCoy, even if Jay Cutler is nowhere near the talent of Vick. This one should be close and if that’s not enough to get you excited, there’s always the fans in Philly, that are known for always bringing a little something extra to the games. Those factors combined could give the Eagles the win.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh is bound to come back with a vengeance ever since their embarrassing loss against the Ravens in the first week of the season. Add to that the fact that they’ve got home field advantage, and they’ve been on a steady high for the past few weeks (especially after beating New England,) they can now be considered one of the best in the league. Overconfidence when facing the Ravens though will get you knocked down every time, as they’re definitely another team to beat. It will be close, but Pittsburgh will avenge their earlier loss.
