NFL Preview – Week 8

Last week many fans thought that they had been ripped off of some pretty good football, and maybe they were. But this week is bound to bring back some excitement, as the Giants and Patriots both come off bye weeks; and injuries in Detroit will make it tough for them as they face Tim Tebow, a guy that’s coming into his own and bound to show more confidence this week.

Miami Dolphins vs. New York Giants
With a winless season thus far, Miami is probably going to lose this one on Sunday as well. Reggie Bush’s performance has been abysmal this year, and Daniel Thomas hasn’t reached near the potential that people had hoped. The Giants are back though, and they’re the ones to watch this game! Captain Brandon Jacobs will probably be back this week and there’s even talk that fullback Henry Hynoski might join him as well. With Eli Manning leading the way, this should be an easy win for the Giants, and a great game for fans!

New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Tom Brady is back after a bye week, and this is the game to watch this week! Sure, New England is a great team, but they have a horrible defense. And on the other side of the field is Mike Wallace, who’s especially good at catching passes for the Steelers. Wallace is ranked third receiver in the league for total yards and touchdowns, and he averages about give passes a game. If the Patriots want to come back with a bang, they’ll have to figure out a way to stop him.

Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos
Ever since the 49ers took away the Lions’ undefeated streak from them, Detroit just hasn’t been the same. Scuffles with coaches after games, taunting injured players on other teams, and worst of all, they now can’t seem to win! The fact that Matthew Stafford is once again on the brink of injury, and that running back Jahvid Best is also out for the Lions won’t help them. Tim Tebow being back could also help Denver take the win, now that he has that little bit more experience and confidence under his belt. He’s sure to be much stronger in the beginning of this week’s game than he was in last week’s against Miami. This one is a bit of a toss-up, but it’s looking as though Detroit really needs to figure out a way to build up their steam once again.
