NFL Preview: Week 10
Just over the halfway mark in this NFL season, there are lots of good storylines to be watching for this Sunday. The Bills will most likely struggle in New England, while Dallas and Philly both duke it out in desperation to keep their season hopes alive. Meanwhile, two of the very best teams are bound to put on a great show when the Chicago Bears host the Houston Texans. And that’s just a taste of what’s in store for this week!
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
Both of these teams have been horrible this season, with the Pats having a slightly better record but still struggling significantly compared to years past. Still, New England has taken 23 out of the past 25 meetings between these two, and they should have no problem doing it again this Sunday. Still, both of these teams struggle heavily with defense so it should be a high-scoring game, which is always good to watch.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
Both the Cowboys and the Eagles have had horrible seasons, and both are desperate for a win on Sunday. Both will have to pull out one of their best performances of the year if they want to do so. The Cowboys have lost four out of their last five games, while the Eagles are trying to avoid losing their fifth consecutive game — something that would be a first under coach Andy Reid. Both teams have problems on defense, but their offensive teams are even worse. They each continue to give the ball away, and Romo and Vick are two of the most-sacked quarterbacks in the league this year. The game is crucial for each team, before it becomes too late to save either season.
Houston Texans at Chicago Bears
If a battle of the bests is what you’re into, this Sunday night game is going to be the best of the day. These teams have had nearly identical seasons, with each only losing one game so far; and each loss being dealt by the Green Bay Packers. But there are some differences. The Bears have had a much easier schedule in the first half of the year, while Houston has had to face some pretty tough opponents. Chicago is just starting to face some of those teams, and Houston will be their toughest matchup yet. And while the Bears’ defense is largely the reason this team has come so far, the fact that Houston is much more well-rounded also can’t be overlooked.
