NBA Injury Update
Being well past the halfway point of the season, it’s expected that many teams would be facing quite a few injuries. But who’s got it the worst, and which teams are in trouble if certain players don’t come off injury reserve soon?
Danny Granger
Danny Granger has been injured this season more than he hasn’t been, it seems; and now he’s out with a knee injury. It’s thought that he’ll be back within a week, but given that he hasn’t made a huge difference to his team during the time he has played, the Pacers will be fine even if he’s out longer than that.
Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant suffered an elbow injury against Oklahoma City, but didn’t miss any games and came back performing stronger than ever — not to mention winning Player of the Week. But this is something that the Lakers and fans need to keep on, as a serious Kobe injury would be a game changer.
Tony Parker
Tony Parker is suffering from a serious ankle injury, and although he no longer needs crutches, the Spurs are going to want to make sure he’s in tip-top form before letting him back on the court. They have the time to do it, so this shouldn’t cause their season to tank.
Dion Waiters
Out with a less commonly seen injury in the NBA is Dion Waiters, who needed to be hospitalized when his vomiting from the flu became so severe. While the sickness shouldn’t take that long to get over, dehydration will be a bigger issue which can cause muscle strains and other injuries. That’s most likely what the Cavs are going to be keeping themselves concerned with.
