Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – DeMar DeRozan poured in a game-high 26 points to lead the Toronto Raptors to a 96-80 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Patrick Patterson added 14 points and 12 boards, John Salmons scored 13 and Terrence Ross and Kyle Lowry finished with 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the Raptors, winners in six of their last eight games. Paul Pierce led Brooklyn with 15 points and Joe Johnson added 11 points, six rebounds and six assists. Alan Anderson finished with 13 for the Nets, who had a season-high five-game winning streak snapped. It was Brooklyn’s first loss of 2014.

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – In what turned out to be one of the most bizarre NBA games in recent memory, James Harden scored 25 points with eight rebounds and five assists and the Houston Rockets fended off a furious Washington comeback attempt for a 114-107 win over the Wizards from a faulty Verizon Center. The game was delayed at the start of the second and third quarters due to a leak in the Verizon Center roof that continuously dripped water onto the floor at halfcourt near the scorer’s table. Dwight Howard scored 23 points with seven rebounds and Terrence Jones recorded a double- double of 19 points and 17 rebounds for Houston, winners in three of its last four games. Jeremy Lin chipped in 18 points and eight assists in the win. John Wall and Trevor Ariza registered double-doubles in Washington’s fourth straight loss at home, as each scored 23 points. Wall added 10 assists and Ariza grabbed 14 rebounds Kevin Seraphin added 18 points off the bench for the Wizards, while Bradley Beal scored 13 points in the loss.

Auburn Hills, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – It was an up and down 30 seconds of emotions for Josh Smith. Smith nailed a trey with 26.8 seconds left to break a tie, but on the next possession he fouled Gerald Green on a 3- point attempt, with Green connecting on all three from the stripe with 4.3 seconds to go. Smith ended on high note though, as he drove to the rim with a defender draped all over him and managed to bank the shot in to go ahead for good with 1.2 left to play, as Detroit took a 110-108 win over Phoenix. Smith finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds and Greg Monroe totaled 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Pistons, who have won their past two. Andre Drummond added 13 points and 13 rebounds and Will Bynum chipped in 16 points. Brandon Jennings had 18 assists. Channing Frye scored a team-high 21 points and P.J. Tucker and Marcus Morris scored 17 points apiece for Phoenix, which has lost three of its last four. Green and Goran Dragic contributed 15 points apiece for the visitors.

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Amar’e Stoudemire had 21 points in the New York Knicks’ 102-92 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday. Carmelo Anthony added 18 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the Knicks, who have won four in a row. New York guard J.R. Smith tallied 14 points and six assists in his return to the lineup. Smith was fined $50,000 by the NBA Wednesday for recurring instances of unsportsmanlike conduct. Against the Heat on Thursday, the big story wasn’t so much the 102-92 victory, as much as head coach Mike Woodson’s decision to bench a healthy Smith for the entire game. Spencer Hawes and James Anderson each had 17 points for the Sixers, who have dropped four straight since a four-game winning streak. Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner donated 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – Joakim Noah, D.J. Augustin and Carlos Boozer each turned in double-doubles to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 103-97 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. Noah finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Augustin added 20 points and 12 assists and Boozer chipped in with 12 points and 10 boards for the Bulls, winners in five straight. Gerald Henderson scored a game-high 30 points and Kemba Walker added 29 for the Bobcats, losers in three straight and eight of their last nine overall. Al Jefferson finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the setback.

Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) – Kevin Durant poured in 33 points to go along with 10 rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder cruised past the Milwaukee Bucks, 101-85, from Chesapeake Energy Arena. Serge Ibake totaled 17 points with 17 rebounds and three blocks for the Thunder, who snapped a brief two-game losing streak. Jeremy Lamb added 17 points off the bench, while Thabo Sefolosha contributed 14 points in the win. Luke Ridnour and O.J. Mayo each scored 16 points off the bench for Milwaukee, which lost its fifth straight game. Brandon Knight and Giannis Antekounmpo each tallied 13 points in the loss with Antekounmpo adding 11 rebounds.

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Dirk Nowitzki scored 40 points and the Dallas Mavericks beat the New Orleans Pelicans by a 110-107 margin to complete a home-and-home sweep. Monta Ellis added 26 points for the Mavericks, who defeated these Pelicans by a 107-90 score on Friday. Jose Calderon tallied 17 points. Anthony Davis ended with 28 points and 14 rebounds for New Orleans, which has lost five in a row. Eric Gordon added 20 points and Al-Farouq Aminu finished with 15 points and 11 boards.

Kenneth Faried had 17 points and nine rebounds and Ty Lawson and Quincy Miller scored 16 points apiece, while the latter had 11 rebounds in the Nuggets’ fifth straight win. Timofey Mozgov and J.J. Hickson contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively. Tobias Harris totaled 22 points and nine rebounds, Glen Davis had 20 points and Victor Oladipo added 15 for the Magic, who have now lost seven straight.

Nicolas Batum added 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Wesley Matthews had 18 points and Robin Lopez finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, winners in four of their last six. Damian Lillard scored 15 points to go with six assists and C.J. McCollum finished with 10 points off the bench in the win. Avery Bradley scored a game-high 25 and Jared Sullinger added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics, who have dropped a season-high eight straight. Jeff Green had 16 points and eight assists and Jordan Crawford scored 13 points and dished out six assists in the setback.
