Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Evan Turner’s runner as time expired hit every part of the rim before falling through as the Philadelphia 76ers snapped a seven-game losing streak and topped the Brooklyn Nets, 121-120, in overtime. The Sixers went in front 119-115 on a Thaddeus Young triple with 2:03 remaining in the extra session but went cold after that, missing four straight shots. Paul Pierce put the Nets on top by one with a deep trey with 16.9 seconds remaining, setting up Turner’s heroics. Turner had his initial attempt at the rim blocked by Alan Anderson with 6.9 ticks left, leading to a Philly inbounds under the basket. Out of a timeout, Turner received the ball, drove left and released a floater over two defenders as the clock hit zero. Turner netted a game-high 29 points with 10 rebounds and five assists for Philly, which has still not won in regulation since Nov. 8. The Sixers improved to 4-0 in overtime games since then.

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) – Lou Williams poured in 25 points and Al Horford added 23 to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 118-85 thumping of the Utah Jazz from Philips Arena. Williams was 6-for-10 from 3-point range, tying a career high for 3-pointers made in a game. Paul Millsap chipped in a double- double of 14 points and 10 rebounds and Jeff Teague finished with nine points and eight assists for the Hawks, winners in four of their last five games. Enes Kanter had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Alec Burks finished with 13 points and Gordon Hayward donated 11 for the Jazz, losers in three of their last four.

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Kyrie Irving poured in a game-high 39 points and had six assists to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 114-111 overtime victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Jarrett Jack netted 17 points, C.J. Miles had 15 and Earl Clark added 14 points for Cleveland, which stopped a two-game losing streak. Tristan Thompson scored 10 points and had 15 rebounds. O.J. Mayo scored 20 points and had seven rebounds, John Henson had 18 points and 10 rebounds and Brandon Knight added 17 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists for the Bucks, who have lost five straight. Khris Middleton contributed 14 points and seven rebounds. With his team trailing by four points in overtime, Mayo nailed a trey to bring the Bucks within one, 112-111, with 17.9 seconds left. Irving then knocked down a pair of free throws to put Cleveland back up by three with 10.3 seconds left. Mayo missed two 3-point attempts that would have tied the game, one with 3.9 seconds left and the other as time expired.

Auburn Hills, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – Kemba Walker dropped a season-high 34 points in the Charlotte Bobcats’ 116-106 come-from-behind win over the Detroit Pistons. Walker shot 12-of-17 from the floor and made all nine of his free throw attempts as Charlotte won its third straight tilt on the heels of a three-game losing skid. Al Jefferson added 24 points — 15 of which came in the fourth quarter — and 14 rebounds in the victory, and Gerald Henderson poured in 22 with eight boards. Brandon Jennings led six Pistons in double figures with 26 points. Josh Smith had 18, Andre Drummond recorded a 14-point, 15-rebound double-double and Greg Monroe tallied 13 points with nine boards as Detroit fell to 2-6 in its last eight home games.

Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Chris Bosh had 25 points and eight rebounds as the Miami Heat defeated the Sacramento Kings for a 10th straight time, 122-103, on Friday night. Dwyane Wade netted 20 points to go with five assists and three steals, while LeBron James tallied 18 points, eight assists and six boards for Miami, which has won six of its last seven games and became the fifth team to reach 20 wins. The Heat’s 122 points scored was a season high. They shot 61.4 percent (51- of-83) from the floor, registered 70 points in the paint — also a season high — and netted 32 points on 20 Sacramento turnovers. DeMarcus Cousins had 27 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Kings, who have dropped three in a row and five of their last six tilts.

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) – Paul George led six Indiana scorers in double figures with 24 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, as the Pacers pounded the Houston Rockets, 114-81, on Friday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Lance Stephenson supplied 16 points, six boards, and six assists, Luis Scola scored 13, and David West and George Hill each netted 12 points for the Pacers, who were coming off back-to-back losses for the first time all season. Former All-Star Danny Granger made his season debut for the Pacers after missing the entire season with a strained left calf and all but five games last season thanks to a knee injury. Granger finished with five points in just over 22 minutes. Dwight Howard led the Rockets with 19 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, while James Harden managed just 12 points on 3-of-14 shooting from the field in the setback, Houston’s third in its last five games.

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – DeMar DeRozan’s jumper with 1:11 left in overtime proved to be the difference as the Toronto Raptors edged the Dallas Mavericks, 109-108, on Friday. DeRozan finished with 15 points, five rebounds and seven assists. Kyle Lowry scored a team-high 20 points, Jonas Valanciunas added 18 with 13 rebounds while Terrence Ross and Amir Johnson finished with 15 points apiece for the Raptors, who have won three of their last four. Jose Calderon, who was traded from Toronto to Detroit last season, poured in a game-high 23 points against his former club. We was 8-for-13 from the field and a blistering 7-for-10 from beyond the arc. His seven 3’s tied a career high. Dirk Nowitzki added 22 points and Monta Ellis finished with 21 points and 11 assists for the Mavericks, who had won five of seven entering the contest.

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – Phoenix overcame a sluggish start and got a huge boost from its bench as the Suns left Denver with a 103-102 win over the Nuggets. Markieff Morris filled the stat sheet off the bench with 25 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks for Phoenix, which trailed by as many as 21 points late in the first half. Gerald Green made six treys en route to 19 points, and Marcus Morris netted 14. The Suns’ reserves outscored Denver’s, 64-37. Goran Dragic was one of just two Phoenix starters in double figures with 17 points. The Suns have won six of seven. Wilson Chandler led a balanced Denver attack with 15 points. Randy Foye dropped 14, while Ty Lawson and J.J. Hickson scored 13 points apiece. Hickson added 14 rebounds while Lawson handed out eight assists.

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Los Angeles Lakers are without Kobe Bryant again. Good thing it’s something they’re already used to. Pau Gasol netted nine of his 21 points during a critical run to close the game and the Lakers topped the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-91 on Friday night. Bryant hyperextended his left knee in the third quarter of Los Angeles’ last game Tuesday, but finished the tilt in the Lakers’ 96-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Bryant was diagnosed with a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee and is likely out six weeks. Bryant made his season debut on Dec. 8 after missing nearly eight months while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon. The Lakers went 2-4 with Bryant in the lineup. Gasol added 13 rebounds and eight assists, while Nick Young netted a team-high 25 points off the bench for Los Angeles, which ended the contest on a 14-2 run. Xavier Henry, who started at point guard, tallied 21 points and four assists in the triumph. Bryant was handling the point guard duties because Steve Nash (back), Jordan Farmar (hamstring) and Steve Blake (elbow) are all shelved. Kevin Love had 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Nikola Pekovic finished with 22 points and 13 boards for the Timberwolves, who have alternated wins and losses over their last six games.
