Keith Urban Starts Winter Leg of Tour in Australia!

Keith Urban is getting ready to wrap up the North American leg of his “Get Closer” tour this summer and then it will be just a few months rest before he heads out to Australia. Aussie fans couldn’t be more excited as Urban prepares to visit the region that kick-started his career.

The Australian leg will begin on January 25 when Urban will play in Brisbane for two nights before heading to Sydney on January 30. Kicking off the month of February Urban will be playing in Melbourne for the nights of February 2 and 3. Those are all the teaser dates we have right now, but it’s expected that Urban will be announcing more at the end of the summer.

Urban announced the news of the tour himself in a YouTube video from his “Urban Chat” segment, the country singer also hinted that fans who see shows during the Aussie leg may even get to hear some brand new material. “I’ve got a bunch of songs and I’m really excited about getting in and recording,” Urban said in the video. And as for those songs making it into the set list? “New music, new show, I know we’re gonna have a blast!” It sure sounds as though he’s planning on at least testing out the new material on some eager crowds.
