Highest-Grossing Concert Tours of the Week 6/24
The number one artist holds her spot for the highest-grossing concert of the week, while another female artist surprisingly falls to the bottom of the pack. Let’s take a look and see who those are – and who else made the top five highest-grossing concert tours of the week.
5.) Taylor Swift, “Red”
Total Gross: $7,863,310
Taylor Swift continues to paint towns “Red” throughout the U.S. and Canada, and is raking in a ton of money along the way, too. She may be sitting in the bottom spot this week, but consider that she only put on two shows during that time – both in Toronto at the Rogers Centre, and both sell-outs. That’s not bad for two days’ work.
4.) Andre Rieu
Total Gross: $9,040,927
This isn’t the first time this conductor/violinist has landed in the top five, and his popularity only continues to grow. So much so that he’s added more dates, announcing that he’ll be visiting Ireland and the UK as part of his Christmas tour.
3.) Kenny Chesney, “No Shoes Nation”
Total Gross: $15,294,574
Summer is Kenny Chesney’s middle name so it’s no surprise that his “No Shoes Nation” tour has once again landed him as one of the highest-grossing tours this week. He’s known to play just as hard as he works, and he does plenty of both while putting on a show!
2.) Michael Jackson, The Immortal World Tour:
Total Gross: $25,752,430
There are few names that can bring in the crowds like that of the King of Pop’s, and the Immortal World Tour is proof of that. Combining Jackson’s iconic music with Cirque de Soleil acrobats is a perfect tribute, and fans who continue to line up at the doors know it.
1.) Pink, The Truth About Love:
Total Gross: $30,715,558
For the second week in a row, Pink lands the number spot for the highest-grossing concert tour of the week. She’s spreading “The Truth About Love” over in Europe right now and they love her just as much as we do!
